The DJ Is A Bad Man

There was child abuse going on and the rest of the world never knew
But a DJ played your songs and day by day he pulled you through

His "Quiet Storm" tucked you in right after you said your prayers
And he seemed to really love you when no one else seemed to care

And when Death was on its hunt and snatched a loved one away
The DJ quickly spinned "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye........Goodbye To Yesterday"

Or when Murder had a plot and stole your dawg so clean
The DJ understood and played that "Gangsta Lean"

Remember when they said they loved you and promised to be true
Yet it hurt so bad inside and there was nothing you could do

After so much crying and the constant pour of rain
The DJ stepped through the speakers and chased away the pain

You worked so damn hard but bill collectors want you in the street
While the DJ already knows you're doing your best to eat

Though the pressure's own...... instead of reaching for liquor or a brew
A prayer made it better.......... while the DJ played a record or two

No matter what life deals you-it's never more than you can stand!
Just keep God and a DJ, cause the DJ is a bad man!!
